The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and have experience with cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) systems. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing a positive shopping experience for our customers while accurately processing transactions and maintaining the checkout area. Duties Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions with accuracy. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and addressing their inquiries. Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining product displays to ensure a well-organized store environment. Conduct product demonstrations to promote new items and encourage sales. Upsell products by suggesting complementary items during the checkout process. Supervise junior staff members as needed, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, ensuring it is always presentable. Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy. Requirements Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred. Proficiency in using POS systems and cash registers. Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail. Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while providing outstanding customer service. A proactive approach to upselling products and enhancing the customer experience. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
