The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently processing transactions in a fast-paced environment. As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the smooth operation of our grocery store. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring accuracy in cash handling. Maintain an organized and clean checkout area, restocking items as needed. Communicate effectively with customers regarding product availability and promotions. Assist in product demonstrations to enhance customer experience and drive sales. Supervise junior staff members during peak hours to ensure efficient service. Collaborate with team members to maintain inventory levels and stock shelves as required. Skills Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members. Experience in supervising or leading a team is a plus. Ability to perform product demos effectively to engage customers. Proficient in stock management and maintaining inventory accuracy. Familiarity with POS systems for processing transactions efficiently. Basic math skills for handling cash and providing accurate change. Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to promote products effectively. Previous experience working in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred.
