Cashier/Stocker Fast Stop Express Baton Rouge, LA 70806 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cashier/Stocker to join our team at our gas station. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service while ensuring that the store is well-stocked and organized. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing cash transactions, assisting customers, and maintaining inventory levels. Duties Operate the cash register efficiently, handling cash transactions accurately. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues. Stock shelves with products, ensuring proper placement and organization. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness throughout the store. Perform basic retail math to ensure accurate pricing and inventory management. Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations. Utilize POS systems for processing transactions and managing inventory. Exhibit phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or directing calls. Requirements Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred. Strong cash handling skills with experience using a cash register or POS system. Basic math skills to perform retail calculations accurately. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
