Cashier Henderson Hwy One Stop 1504 Henderson Hwy Highway, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517 Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team in a dynamic retail environment. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional customer service while accurately handling transactions. Your role will be crucial in ensuring a smooth checkout experience and maintaining a positive atmosphere in the store. Responsibilities Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using the cash register and POS system. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries. Conduct product demonstrations to promote sales and enhance customer engagement. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area to create a welcoming environment for customers. Assist in restocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels as needed. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance the overall shopping experience. Qualifications Previous experience in cash handling or retail sales is preferred but not required. Strong basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus. Proficient in using cash registers and POS systems. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to sales and product knowledge.
