Cashier Position Available In Newton, Mississippi

Fair Oil Company is seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The Cashier will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced environment.

• Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers as they enter the store and provide a warm, friendly experience
• Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions, credit card payments, and process refunds or exchanges
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer, ensuring correct change and balancing the register at the end of the shift
• Assist customers with inquiries, product information, and locating items
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
• Restock shelves and ensure the store is well-maintained
• Follow company policies and procedures for cash handling and customer service
• Monitor and report any discrepancies, suspicious activities, or security issues to the Store Manager
• Assist in opening and closing procedures of the store
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive work environment and efficient store operations
• Participate in training and development programs as required.

• Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred
• Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly
• Ability to stand for long periods and handle physical tasks, such as lifting and stocking shelves
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
