Overview:

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and efficient Retail Clerk / Cashier to join our team at a busy Tobacco Shop in the Charlotte area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing transactions, assisting customers, and helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate cash registers and process cash/card transactions accurately Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service Verify IDs for age-restricted sales Maintain a clean and organized checkout and store area Stock shelves and merchandise products as needed Assist with product demonstrations to engage customers and promote sales Supervise junior staff during busy periods (as needed) Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers to resolve issues Follow store policies and safety procedures at all times

Requirements:

Must be 21+ years old (due to tobacco sales) Available to work evening shifts , including weekends Reliable transportation to and from work Strong communication and interpersonal skills Retail or cashier experience preferred but not required Basic math skills for handling cash and giving correct change Positive attitude and willingness to learn new products

Schedule & Hours:
