Gift Shop Cashier & Attendant Position Available In Essex, New Jersey

Job Description
Overview
The primary purpose of the Gift Shop Cashier and Attendant position is to provide routine retail cashiering services for cash and charge sales within the guidelines set by the Department with emphasis on customer service, speed of service and accuracy. Provides general assistance with the Gift Shop operations. May be assigned to work in other areas of Catering and Food and Nutrition Department as the business demands including duties as a Food Service Worker.
Responsibilities
Service provided is patient centered.
Ensures accurate cash handling.
Responds to sanitation needs, including, but not limited to, washing coffee urns, wiping down tables and counters, microwave etc.
Tends to unit sanitation stock needs.
Brews coffee, restock food items, gifts, beverages, ice cream and other sales items. Prepares basic food items, such as buttered rolls etc.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Certificate is required. One (1) year of cash/charge handling experience required. About University Hospital
