Cashier and Stocker Wine Depot of Union 454 Chestnut Street, Union, NJ 07083 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cashier/Stocker to join our team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service while ensuring the store is well-stocked and organized. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail and a commitment to creating a positive shopping experience for our customers. Responsibilities Operate the cash register efficiently, handling cash transactions and providing accurate change. Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with inquiries and ensuring their shopping needs are met. Stock shelves with products, ensuring items are displayed neatly and are easily accessible to customers. Conduct regular inventory checks to maintain stock levels and assist in ordering new products as needed. Demonstrate product knowledge through engaging product demos to enhance customer experience. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and stockroom. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling and safety. Experience Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with retail math and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Proficiency in using Point of Sale (POS) systems and cash registers. Strong phone etiquette for effective communication with customers and team members. Experience in retail sales, customer service, or product demonstrations is a plus.
