Cashier Food Expeditor Tandoori Twist Valley Stream, NY 11580 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expeditor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that food and beverage orders are processed efficiently and accurately, enhancing the overall customer experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and have experience in a fast-paced environment, such as a restaurant or grocery store. Duties Coordinate and expedite food orders from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely manner. Ensure all food items meet quality standards before they are served to customers. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, adhering to health and safety regulations. Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately while providing excellent customer service. Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring all items are prepared according to specifications. Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Utilize Aloha POS system for order processing and inventory management. Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or grocery store setting preferred. Strong cash handling skills and familiarity with cash register operations. Knowledge of retail math for accurate transaction processing. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers alike. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with food preparation and sanitation practices is a plus. Willingness to learn new systems, including Toast POS, if not already familiar.
