Store Cashier Sunoco Clifton Springs, NY 14432 Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while processing transactions accurately and efficiently. As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers in a grocery store environment. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed. Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using the cash register. Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions with precision. Communicate effectively with customers to answer questions and resolve issues. Conduct product demos to promote new items and upsell products when appropriate. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area. Supervise junior staff members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations. Assist with inventory management by restocking shelves as necessary. Skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Proficient in basic math for accurate transaction processing. Experience in phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone. Ability to conduct product demos and upsell items to enhance sales. Bilingual skills are a plus, enabling better communication with diverse customers. Previous experience in a grocery store setting is advantageous but not required. Supervisory skills are beneficial for leading team efforts during peak hours.
