Cashier/ sales Prcandycorp 46 East Central Avenue, Pearl River, NY 10965 Overview We are seeking a motivated and friendly Cashier/Sales Associate to join our dynamic retail team. He/She must be 21 or older. This role is crucial in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth transaction process for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail sales and a strong ability to communicate effectively with customers, helping them find the products they need while enhancing their shopping experience. Duties Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately, ensuring a seamless checkout experience for customers. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selection. Utilize retail math skills to process sales, manage cash flow, and balance the register at the end of shifts. Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and enhance sales opportunities. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and sales floor. Handle customer inquiries over the phone with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve overall store performance. Skills Proven experience in retail sales or cashier roles is preferred. Strong understanding of cash register operations and Point of Sale (POS) systems. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members. Ability to sell products through effective upselling techniques while maintaining a positive shopping experience. Basic knowledge of retail math for accurate transaction processing. Strong customer service orientation with a focus on meeting customer needs.
