Retail Cashier – Habitat for Humanity ReStore Corning NY Steuben County Habitat for Humanity 3412 State Route 414, Corning, NY 14830 Reports to: ReStore Manager Primary Responsibilities

• Always provide top notch customer service when working with customers/donors.
• Greet customers/donors while helping answer any questions they may have.
• Accurately ring out customers utilizing register departments to help us track donation efforts.
• Make sure to accurately accept cash receipts and give back proper change.
• Count drawer at end of shift.
• Always adhere to organization/store policies and procedures.
• Support the retail team as needed by answering phones, assisting customers/donors, merchandising, pricing, cleaning, running the register, or other duties as assigned. Position Requirements
• This position is customer facing and requires you to have great interpersonal skills. Most of the time you will be the first impression on the store and more importantly the face of the organization.
• Able to accurately count money and make change.
• Possess the ability to use a computer-based cash register, credit card machine, and professionally answer incoming phone calls.
• Professional appearance and demeanor while working with customers, donors, volunteers, and staff.
• This position requires the ability to perform one or more of the following throughout the day: Stand, sit, walk, bend, twist and reach above the shoulder and below the shoulder level.
• This position requires you to be on your feet majority of the shift.
• Able to frequently lift to 50 lbs. independently and as a team 51 + lbs. by utilizing appropriate equipment.
