The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while handling transactions accurately and efficiently. As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers, ensuring they leave satisfied and eager to return. Responsibilities Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using a cash register or POS system. Handle cash and ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their inquiries. Upsell products and services to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and store policies to effectively assist customers. Keep the checkout area clean and organized, ensuring all supplies are stocked. Assist in training new cashiers as needed, providing guidance on best practices in customer service and cash handling. Skills Proficient in cash handling and operating a cash register or POS system. Strong phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone. Ability to perform retail math calculations accurately. Experience in upselling products to enhance sales opportunities. Supervisory experience is advantageous for those looking to take on additional responsibilities within the team. This is a part time rotating every other weekend Saturday only shift. 10am-6pm. Possibility to pick up Friday shifts or half day Friday shifts. The store used to be open 7 days a week so there is a possibility for the right candidate to also work every Sunday of the week which we can discuss. Pay is $15 per hour and 50% off powder and 40% off everything else in the store. We are a kratom and cbd shop in southside pittsburgh.
