Cigar South/cashier/keyholder Palmetto Outpost 2003 West Lucas Street, Florence, SC 29501 Overview We are seeking a motivated and dynamic retail cashier/keyholder to join our team. In this role, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for retail, with the ability to foster a positive shopping experience for our customers. Cigar/tobacco knowledge is a plus. Duties Assist in managing store operations. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Supervise and train team members on store policies, procedures, and product knowledge. Maintain inventory levels by overseeing stock management and product displays. Engage with customers and promote sales. Operate cash registers accurately and efficiently while ensuring proper cash handling procedures. This will include closing the store and checking up the drawer daily. Deposits are to be dropped nightly. Communicate effectively with manager, staff and customers, demonstrating strong phone etiquette. Utilize basic math skills for transactions, inventory counts, and sales reporting. Experience Previous experience in retail customer service and keyholder/management roles are preferred. Strong customer service skills with a focus on building relationships with customers. Familiarity with stock management processes and cash register operations is beneficial. A knowledge of premium cigars and tobacco products is a plus. A proven job history that shows dedication and longevity. Ability to effectively sell products through engaging interactions and demonstrations.
