Summary:

Responsible for handling sales transactions, providing excellent customer support, and contributing to the smooth operation of the service and/or sales departments.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: + Process customer payments for purchases, service invoices, and parts sales using cash, credit/debit cards, checks, or other methods of acceptable payment. + Issue receipts, refunds, and credits accurately and in accordance with dealership policies. + Balance cash drawer at the start and end of each shift, ensuring accurate record-keeping. + Assist customers with inquiries, providing clear and professional explanations. + Coordinate with sales and service teams to ensure seamless transaction processes. + Handle basic administrative tasks, such as filing transaction records. + Uphold dealership standards for customer service, addressing customer needs promptly and courteously. + Maintains CSI at or above Company standards + Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area + Participates in required training + Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system + Follows Safeguards rules and regulations. + Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values. + Complies with Company policies and procedures. + Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties. + Other duties as assigned.

Desired Education:

Education/Experience:

Prior customer service experience preferred.

Environment Demands:

Duties are performed throughout the dealership. Heavy standing work. Work includes frequent clerical and administrative responsibilities in addition to frequent contact and interaction with customers and dealership personnel. Work includes movement around dealership facilities, indoors and outdoors. Due to the nature of this position, employee may be exposed to various work environments.

Computer Skills:

Ability to effectively use all payments technologies required in role. Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and software tools, ensuring efficient workflow and data accuracy.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Communication Skills:

Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication with customers and employees.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively with customers and team members, both in person and over the phone. Frequent sitting and standing required, and light physical activities, such as reaching or lifting items up to 25 lbs may also be required.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations.

Verbal and Writing Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to receive and communicate with customers courteously, efficiently, and professionally. Employee must be able to display professional phone etiquette.

Attendance Expectations:

The position requires regular and predictable attendance at the Dealership. Not a remote position. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
