Position Overview:
This position will be responsible for operating an ice cream stand in our campground and coordinating with the Lodging Manager to instruct activities for our lodging guests.
Job Duties:
Maintain a polite and friendly demeanor while working and interacting with guest.. Report requests for repairs to supervisor or maintenance department. Help keep stand and all work areas clean. Instruct Activities which include Nature Walks, Arts & Crafts, and Hosting Bingo/Trivia. The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following skills: Excellent verbal & written communication skills Excellent customer service Outgoing and welcoming personality Excellent time management skills Self-Motivated Experience in leading & instructing activities/classes is a plus Cash handling experience
Abilities:
Problem Solving Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information efficiently; and develop alternative solutions when needed. Technical Skills Be cognoscente of surroundings and able to respond immediately to emergency situations by applying first aid knowledge obtained during training. Communication Greet each and every guest in a warm and inviting manor; complete all supporting documentation in a clear and concise fashion; and able to read and interpret information quickly. Planning/ Organizing Keep assigned work area clean and orderly at all times; fill downtime with appropriate tasks; and work in an efficient manor. Quality Control Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work; look for ways to improve and promote quality; and able to monitor own work for quality assurance. Dependability Follows instructions and responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; complete task on time or notifies supervisor with an alternate plan and timeline; consistently at work and on time for scheduled shift; and ensure responsibilities are covered when absent.
