Job Summary:
A gas station cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service while processing fuel and merchandise transactions. This role includes operating the cash register, maintaining store cleanliness, monitoring fuel pumps, and assisting with basic maintenance duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers and process fuel and in-store purchases accurately Operate POS system and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions Monitor fuel pumps and ensure proper safety procedures are followed Restock shelves, coolers, and displays with merchandise and beverages Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store, including bathrooms and pump areas Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor complaints Check IDs for age-restricted sales (e.g., tobacco, alcohol) Report suspicious activity or safety concerns to management Perform opening and closing duties as required
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Basic math and computer skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
