In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers. This position is the first impression of our store, and being a family owned company, first impressions are extremely important. In addition to running the POS system, you will be expected to: Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping experience. Provide knowledgeable product demonstrations and information to enhance customer understanding. Utilize retail math skills to manage transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale (POS). Maintain an organized and well-stocked sales floor, ensuring products are displayed attractively. Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and product rotation. Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment. Handle customer inquiries in person and via telephone to resolve any issues promptly and professionally. Skills Proven experience in retail sales or a similar customer-facing role is preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and staff. Proficiency in retail math for accurate transaction processing. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems for efficient transaction handling. Basic math skills for inventory management and sales reporting. Experience in “hardware store”-type environments is a plus but not required.
