⚐ ⚑ ⚑ Dress In Poop Emoji Costume and Gather Signatures (Boston) ‹ image 1 of 2 › compensation: $100 for 4 hours of work Charles River Watershed Association is running a campaign called Cut The Crap to generate awareness around combined sewers overflows (CSOs) that dump sewage into the Charles River and to create public pressure on officials to eliminate these sources of pollution. (More details at CutTheCrapCharles.org) For this work, you will dress in poop emoji costumes (provided) and gather petition signatures from people along the Esplanade in Boston on the Fourth of July, from 2 PM — 6 PM. The petition urges the Mass. Water Resources Authority and the cities of Cambridge and Somerville (owners of the CSO outfalls) to end the sewage discharges.
