Election Day Canvasser (Temporary) Japneet Singh for D28 Campaign Queens, NY Job Details Temporary | Contract $200 a day 12 hours ago Qualifications Interpersonal skills Canvassing Entry level Full Job Description We are hiring Election Day Canvassers to assist with Get Out the Vote (GOTV) operations for a grassroots City Council campaign on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. This is a one-day, in-person role based in Queens, specifically covering South Ozone Park, South Jamaica, and Rochdale Village. As a Canvasser, you will play a critical role in engaging voters at poll sites, providing election reminders, assisting with visibility efforts, and ensuring our supporters are mobilized to vote throughout the day.

Responsibilities:

Arrive at designated location by 5:30 AM Staff poll sites and engage with voters respectfully and professionally Distribute literature and campaign materials Maintain a strong and positive presence throughout the day Follow all electioneering guidelines and campaign protocols

Qualifications:

Prior canvassing or poll worker experience is required Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work long hours outdoors Familiarity with the neighborhoods of South Ozone Park, South Jamaica, or Rochdale Village is a plus Must be reliable, punctual, and comfortable working on a fast-paced campaign

Compensation:

Flat rate of $200 for the full day (15.5 hours including breaks).
