Energy Calculations Specialist Position Available In Lee, Florida

Overview:

We are a well-established HVAC company seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our team in an Energy Calculations Specialist role. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in energy modeling, estimating in an engineering environment, or CAD design who are looking to apply their technical knowledge in a growing and supportive company.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate HVAC energy calculations (Manual J, D, and S) for residential and commercial projects Interpret architectural and engineering plans to generate load calculations and system designs Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and installation teams to ensure compliance with energy codes and project specifications Assist with take-offs and estimating tasks as needed Update and maintain records of completed calculations and reports Ensure all designs and calculations meet local building codes and regulations Support drafting team with CAD input or minor design adjustments (if applicable)

Qualifications:

Experience in energy calculations for HVAC systems is highly preferred (Manual J, D, S or similar) Background in HVAC, mechanical engineering, CAD design, or estimating in a related field Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry tools such as WriteSoft, Elite Software, or similar Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and mechanical plans Self-motivated with good organizational and time management skills

Preferred:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting/Design, Construction Management, or related field Experience working in a design-build, engineering, or HVAC contracting firm

Hours:

Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

Pay:

$25hr
