Job Description
Partner w/ Kirkland & Ellis LLP (NY, NY). Working w/in the Debt Finance practice grp, provide high-level legal advice & representation to clients w/in the energy & project financing sectors. Requires JD, LLM, or foreign equiv, & admission to the NY bar. Reqs 5 yrs exp. as an Associate or related w/ an int’l law firm working in energy & project finance matters. Exp. must incl.: Advising clients in the energy & project financing sectors, incl. on renewable energy projects, infrastructure devlpmnt, oil & gas transactions, & financing for energy ventures; Advising clients on compliance, reg. issues & risk mgmt w/in the energy sector; Coordinating transactions involving multiple stakeholders incl. gov’t entities, investors, & contractors to align reg. reqs; Supervising & reviewing project financing docs incl. addressing complex issues in power purchase agreements, joint ventures, & financing arrangements; & Reviewing & negotiating energy & infrastructure financing transactions.
