This position involves frequent travel to physicians’ offices, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities to promote the practice’s services. The representative works closely with the Referral Coordinators and other departments to ensure that referred patients are scheduled and seen promptly without delays. This is an onsite, field-based role requiring excellent communication, sales acumen, and a deep understanding of pulmonology, sleep medicine, and primary care services. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Provider Outreach Develop and maintain strong relationships with referring providers, hospitals, urgent care centers, and other healthcare professionals to increase patient referrals. Conduct regular in-person visits to existing and potential referral sources to promote the practice’s services and specialties. Identify new business opportunities to expand the referral base and drive patient volume growth. Educate providers and their staff on Prana Health’s pulmonology, sleep medicine, and diagnostic services, ensuring they understand the benefits for their patients. Gather feedback from referring providers and address any concerns to improve referral experiences. Coordination with Referral Team & Patient Flow Management Work closely with the Referral Coordinators to ensure all referred patients are scheduled efficiently. Monitor referral progress, following up on any pending paperwork, insurance approvals, or scheduling issues. Ensure seamless communication between referring providers and Prana Health to prevent any delays or patient dissatisfaction. Assist in resolving referral-related bottlenecks and ensuring smooth patient onboarding. Sales & Marketing Strategy Implement targeted outreach strategies to increase patient referrals and practice visibility. Keep track of competitor activities and market trends to adjust sales approaches accordingly. Attend networking events, medical conferences, and community outreach programs to promote Prana Health’s services. Provide educational materials, brochures, and marketing resources to referring offices to enhance provider engagement. Reporting & Performance Tracking Maintain a daily log of provider visits and interactions, submitting an End-of-Day (EOD) report to management. Track and analyze referral data to identify high-performing sources and areas for improvement. Report on referral trends, barriers to growth, and opportunities for business expansion. Collaborate with management to set referral goals and execute strategies to achieve them. Qualifications & Skills Proven experience in medical sales (devices/drugs), physician liaison, or healthcare business development. Strong understanding of pulmonology, sleep medicine, and primary care services (preferred). Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills. Ability to travel extensively for provider visits and attend in-person meetings as required. Highly organized with strong follow-up skills to ensure smooth patient referral processing. Ability to work independently while maintaining close collaboration with the internal team. Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills to address provider concerns and drive referrals. Proficiency in CRM systems, referral tracking platforms, and EHR systems is a plus. Schedule & Work Environment On-site, field-based role, requiring frequent travel to referring provider offices. Must be available to attend in-person management meetings as required. Daily End-of-Day (EOD) report submission is mandatory. Flexible schedule based on referral needs, provider availability for breakfast/lunch/dinner meetings, and business objectives.
