Non-Exempt Summary:

Member Service Representative supports the Member Services Department in both the Computer Based Training (CBT) labs and the Member Services “front window” by providing support in assisting participants/clients with training and support on products offered by the organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position requires some supervisory responsibilities that include new employee mentoring and filling in as needed when the Member Services Manager is not on-site.

Essential Functions:

Understand and follow all MSR Level I and II Essential Functions. Train as instructed by Member Services Manager, new employees in the CBT Lab procedures and/or Front Desk operations. Work to encourage work compatibility within the department. Troubleshoot IT issues. Maintain Corporate Access case queue. Maintain Infobox case queue Adding, deleting, and updating courses. Granting course security to companies and other Safety Councils. Maintain the Security Passport case queue and process all consent forms. Process credit card transactions as needed.

Non-Essential Functions:

All other duties/tasks as may be assigned.

Computer Skills:

Must be competent in all functions of the Alliance Safety Council computer programs and databases.

Additional Job Specific Competencies :

Able to effectively communicate in a professional and effective manner to all levels of participants. Must be flexible and knowledgeable in all functions of the Member Services Department. This experience will allow MSR Level III personnel to be used at a satellite location as needed.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Must be able to effectively train and mentor others in an encouraging and professional manner.

While performing the duties of an MSR Level III, the employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time, be able to regularly walk, climb, balance, stoop and kneel and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Schedule:

Monday•Saturday, days and times vary depending on office schedule. Occasionally one Saturday a quarter for training and development is required. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Position requires knowledge and understanding of English grammar and basic computer skills. High school education or equivalent required including 4 + years’ experience in the area of member service. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bilingual in Spanish a plus. Must have a valid driver’s license without any reckless operation violations since this position may require traveling to surrounding business facilities.
