The MS will assist the General Manager with the day-to-day operations of the location and presenting the products/services to prospects and members.

Primary Responsibilities:

Reflect the core values of UFC GYM franchise. Maintain regular attendance at the gym to execute job responsibilities. Demonstrate open and effective communication with owner, general manager, assistant general manager and trainers. Answer every call in a friendly, professional and knowledgeable manner. Greet guests in a professional and friendly manner making sure that all members scan their membership cards upon arrival. Monitor DataTrak as individuals arrive to ensure their payment history is up-to-date. Enter new members into the DataTrak system and thoroughly explain the contract. Communicate with the General Manager and trainers that prospective members are in the gym. Also communicate any concerns they may have expressed and document in GymSales system. Maintain brochures, business cards, and forms at the front desk as well as organization/cleanliness of the front desk and inventory cubes. Communicate member concerns or problems to General Manager. Establish professional relationships with existing members to ensure longevity with memberships. Ensure cleanliness of facility throughout the day including but not limited to emptying trashcans, cleaning floors and mats, wiping down equipment and mirrors, collecting “lost and found” items, and cleaning restrooms. Assist members in selection and purchase of inventory.

Secondary Responsibilities:

Participate in Staff meetings. Make contact with new members according to the established goals. This would include inquiry calls and facility tours when the General Manager is unavailable. Meet and or exceed targeted closing rate. Respond quickly to each email in a friendly, professional and knowledgeable manner with approved scripts when the general manager is unavailable. Assist the General Manger with follow up on all prospects with appropriate actions. Follow-up processes may include calls, emails, and texts. Assist the General Manger in developing and maintaining positive relationships with all members through quality assurance phone calls, cards, and special events. Enter and maintain accurate member (potential and existing) records in Club Ready including log notes of actions taken and follow-up actions necessary. Assist in maintaining inventory and office supplies. Perform any and all other functions and responsibilities deemed necessary. Appearance & Attire Ability to should arrive to shift with a professional appearance: teeth brushed and fresh breath, showered with deodorant applied, hair styled neatly, facial hair shaved (or trimmed in a tasteful style), and fingernails cut to modest length. Ability to arrive to shift in required uniform short and pants: UFC GYM issued collared shirt should be washed, unwrinkled and tucked in. Pants must either be jeans or khaki, full length, and in well-kept condition. No shorts or cut-offs allowed. Ability to maintain proper appearance (breath, body odor, and uniform) throughout shift.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

This position must have an understanding of and uphold the policies and procedures established by UFC GYM franchise. This position must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively. This position must have the ability to work independently. Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills essential as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills. Must demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness consistent with company standards, practices, policies and procedures. Ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly and yearly work. Ability to establish good working relationships with management, franchise owners, trainers, and members. Ability to sit at a desk and listen effectively. Ability to stand and walk during the course of a normal business day. Ability to present a professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to reach with hands and arms to operate gym equipment. Must be patient and congenial on the telephone. Must have computer skills and become proficient in GymSales/Datatrak. Ability to work weekday and or weekends as required. Ability to perform duties in a professional environment. Knowledge of the health industry.
