Location:
Charlotte, NC (Full-Time The Member Service Representative (MSR) is to promote and maintain daily the credit union’s service promise for both internal teammates and external members. Provide basic cash receipt and payment services in accordance with credit union policies and procedures. Under the direction of the Branch Manager and in accordance with the rules of regulatory agency, bylaws, and board policy to promote credit union products and services. Support marketing initiatives, and at all times represent the credit union to the staff, members, public and credit union industry in a professional, positive and prompt manner. Key Responsibilities in accordance with the rules of regulatory agency, bylaws and credit union policies . Greet members in a friendly, professional and efficient manner by phone and in person to: Accurately receive and process cash and checks for deposit, Process withdrawals accurately following credit union policies and procedures; Verify availability of funds, ensuring proper endorsements; Receive payments as needed and ensure appropriate accounts are impacted by transaction(s). Processes member service transactions within established guidelines. Balance cash drawer and prepare end of day reports. Report any discrepancies to supervisor as necessary. Actively participate in the promotion of Nova Credit Unions products and services. Maintain a concise knowledge of such services in order to deliver correct information as appropriate. Work in conjunction with the marketing department to support current promotions. Ensure MSR station is properly stocked with forms and supplies and maintained in accordance with brand requirements. Identifies account and loan opportunities to be able to make referrals.
Other Responsibilities:
Duties may also include safe deposit box, bonds and night drop. Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Education High School diploma/GED. Experience Minimum of 12 months of teller/member service representative experience OR a minimum of 12 months of high-volume cash handling experience in lieu of teller experience. Must be experienced and comfortable using computers and possess excellent customer service skills. High volume cash handling experience preferred. Credit Union experience a plus. Skills Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and establish rapport when handling customer inquiries and transactions. Strong attention to detail is required. Ability and desire to interact in a and contribute to team efforts. Core Competencies Excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task Adapt easily to new situations Advanced problem solving and decision making Accuracy with computer transactions Critical math skills Ability to work independently with motivation to research and resolve issues Physical The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the Essential Functions of this job. The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). Frequently moves boxes weighing up to 20 pounds across office for various needs. Working Environment
- Work is performed onsite in an office environment.

Fiscal Responsibility This position has a level of fiscal responsibility, including: adhering to approved departmental budgets; ensuring all data entry and reporting are completed and reported in a timely manner and as regulated by law and policy; ensuring regulatory compliance is maintained within the department and on all transactions; access to credit union financial instruments.
