POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Senior Program Director, the Lead Front Desk Representative delivers excellent customer service to all members, guests and program participants. Responsibilities include membership billing, creating front desk schedules, training front desk staff in Daxko, responding to member and guest needs, promoting membership and programs, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of the lobby and front desk areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Adheres and complies with the YMCA of High Point Employee Manual, Policy & Procedures Manual, and Code of Conduct. 2. Creates monthly schedule for front desk staff ensuring staffing during all open hours and fills voids as necessary. 3. Communicates with all front desk staff to ensure uniform statements and accurate communication to members on all programming. 4. Trains all front desk staff in Daxko. 5. Submits all senior membership billing by the fifth of every month. Follows up on payment and rebills as necessary. 6. Processes all billing invoices for members and organizations. 7. Ensures all membership changes are accurately and timely processed in Daxko, alerting the Senior Program Director of any issues or need for refunds. 8. Provides excellent customer service to members, guests and program participants in the Y and on the phone, contributing to member retention. 9. Builds relationships with members, helps members connect with one another and the

YMCA. 10.

Handles and resolves membership concerns and informs supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues. 11. Processes membership and program payments accurately. 12. Responsible for preparing and transporting daily deposits to the bank in a timely and secure manner. 13. Conducts membership tours of the facility. 14. Follows up and communicates with rental participants to ensure payment is received before the event, requested items are available and assists with set-up. 15. Assists with general clerical work as needed. 16. Maintains a neat, clean lobby and front desk area. 17. Attends and actively participates in all staff meetings, in-service trainings and other meetings as required by supervisor. Examples include Healthy Kids Day, Halloween Extravaganza, Cookies with Santa, and any other member services events. 18. Conducts behavior at all times in a professional manner to reflect positively on the

YMCA. 19.

Perform other duties and tasks as requested by immediate supervisor to facilitate efficient and effective production of the

YMCA. QUALIFICATIONS

1. Five years of experience in customer service. 2. Knowledge in Daxko. 3. Proficient in Office 365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. 4. Attentive to details, be able to work with and meet deadlines. 5. Excellent written and oral communication skills. 6. Ability to balance a cash drawer. 7. Valid NC Driver’s license and driving record that meets YMCA standards. 8. Scheduling flexibility based on meeting the demands of the job roles; early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays. 9. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community. 10. CPR/First Aid/Oxygen Certification within the first 30 days. 11. Completion of YMCA program-specific certifications, as deemed necessary by supervisor. 12. Ability to handle multiple tasks, establish priorities and meet deadlines. 13. Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations, during as well as after hours.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to: stand for an extended period of time, walk, perform repetitive motions, type, extended periods of time on the phone, talk, hear and have visual acuity.
