Full Job Description Overview:

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Facility Rental Attendant at Gloucester County YMCA maintains a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals. The Facility Rental Attendant serves as a concierge to members and guests renting our facility for events/parties. They will ensure a safe and engaging environment for all visitors. Availability /

Shifts:

Saturday & Sunday 3:00 pm

• 8:00 pm Monday
• Friday 8:00 pm

Responsibilities:

Provides excellent customer service to members, guests, and program participants in the Y. Maintains cleanliness and organization of facility. Develops and maintains positive relationships with volunteers and members and helps members connect with one another and the Y. Serves others by intentionally welcoming, connecting, and supporting members, and inviting them to get involved and give back to the community. Handles and resolves concerns and informs supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues. Applies all YMCA policies dealing with member services. Facilitate games and activities as determined by the rental type. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or a GED and be at least 18 years old. Strong attention to detail required as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications required within 90 days of hire. Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community. Basic knowledge of computers and demonstrate ability to use specific Membership software programs and software after completing training. Ability to work with many interruptions, handling multiple tasks in a calm and responsible way always affirming the member (e.g., scan and smile, nod, wave while answering the phone, if alone). Ability to work a flexible schedule. Night and weekend hours will be required.
