Admissions Associate 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars 1 Broad Street, Chattanooga, TN 37402 The Tennessee Aquarium, rated the best Aquarium in America for overall guest satisfaction, attracts over 750,000 visitors each year. We are looking for a positive, energetic individual with excellent customer engagement skills, unique sales techniques, and experience to assist guests with information regarding the Aquarium, IMAX, ticketing, memberships, and any other special events. Key Responsibilities Be a one-stop source for all guest questions concerning the Aquarium hours, ticket prices, directions, memberships, IMAX movies, parking, etc. Provide information and assist with new ticket reservations, and/or changing existing reservations. Use ticketing programs to research guests’ bookings and look up membership details. Maintain an ongoing knowledge base of Aquarium offerings, seasonal promotions, IMAX movies, and any other special events. Reconcile cash drawers. Upsell add-on experiences, donations, and/or memberships to guests while maintaining results within the departments’ average metrics Work independently and provide a high standard of customer engagement. Work long lines of customers for several hours during peak season. Solve problems, address complaints, and provide service recovery when appropriate. Capture customer details with each transaction. Complete all mandatory virtual and in-person training within the allotted timeframe. Fulfill other required workplace responsibilities within the organization as requested or assigned. Ensure compliance with ADA regulations regarding service animals vetting procedures. Key Requirements High school diploma or some college preferred. 2 years’ sales/customer service experience. Excellent communication skills. Strong computer proficiency and ability to learn new software. Ability to operate a cash drawer and handle money (basic math). Professional and enthusiastic interpersonal skills. Proactive and persuasive selling skills. Organizational skills with attention to detail. Works well within a team environment. Handles multiple functions simultaneously. Ability to work in both an indoor and outdoor environment as needed. Part-time, hourly ($15/hour); Approx. 20 – 25 hours/week, weekend work required.
