Job Description

  • Function
  • : The primary function of this role is to scan, assess, and categorize each received book based on its condition, value, and best sales channel, ensuring an effective flow of goods to e-commerce, retail stores, or outlet stores.
  • Essential Functions:
  • 1.

Scan and evaluate each donated book to determine its condition, category, and sales channel (e-commerce, store, or outlet).2. Use designated software and scanning tools to assess and log books, making informed decisions on their distribution.3. Coordinate with the e-commerce team, store managers, and outlet store managers to ensure books are directed to the appropriate sales channels.4. Organize and prepare books for shipment or transfer based on their designated channel.5. Maintain accurate records of scanned and categorized books, including data entry and inventory management.6. Assist in developing and updating protocols for book assessment and categorization to improve efficiency and revenue potential.7. Perform regular maintenance checks on scanning equipment and troubleshoot minor issues.8. Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in book sorting, scanning technology, and market trends.9. Perform other duties as assigned to support the donated goods processing team and store operations.10. Maintains adherence to all company policies and procedures.11. Other duties as assigned.
