Regional Account Merchandiser
Overview
SUMMARY:
The Regional Account Merchandiser is responsible for supporting assigned convenience store customers by ensuring optimal product presentation, stock levels, POS execution, and strong in-store relationships. This role is highly mobile and collaborates closely with Convenience Store Managers, Regional Sales Executives (RSEs), and Route Distribution team members to drive sales, uphold brand standards, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. This position requires regular travel across assigned territories, including overnight stays as necessary to support customer expectations and company goals.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute account management plans developed by the Regional Director by completing merchandising tasks such as signage placement, pricing updates, product wraps, and other brand activations.
Ensure beverage stations meet agreed-upon specifications, including proper product levels, appearance, and taste quality.
Implement and maintain planograms and promotional displays according to company and customer guidelines. Monitor and rotate inventory to prevent expiration and avoid stockouts.
Foster and maintain strong relationships with on-site convenience store personnel to increase brand visibility and identify growth opportunities for existing products and promotions.
Support the launch and execution of promotional programs and new products, tracking performance and reporting insights to the RSEs and Marketing team.
Conduct routine store audits to ensure compliance with merchandising standards and program execution.
Provide ongoing feedback to RSEs on product performance, location-specific opportunities, and potential new business in the convenience store segment.
Train on standard brewing equipment used in convenience stores to support basic troubleshooting and determine when to escalate issues to Service Technicians.
Represent the company at state-level meetings and convenience store trade shows.
Assist with customer events such as golf tournaments, award ceremonies, and brand-sponsored functions.
All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATONS
Minimum of a High School Diploma (or an equivalent such as a GED) Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales, account management, or merchandising. Flexibility to work early mornings, and some nights and weekends as needed.
Basic technical knowledge of standard coffee and tea brewing equipment used in convenience stores.
Ability to travel up to 65%, as required based on business needs, often requiring overnight stay to attend meetings, trade shows, training and other work-related events as scheduled.
Must possess a valid drivers license.
Ability to successfully complete the pre-employment process.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior food and beverage industry experience, specifically in the convenience store segment, is strongly preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The ability to safely climb up and down stairs or ramps at customer locations, and in and out of trucks.
The ability to sit and walk for extended periods of time.
The ability to use hand tools and fingering/handling to operate buttons/levers of equipment.
The ability to push or pull up to 250lbs with the use of hand truck, and lift equipment or product up to 55lbs.
The ability carry product up to 40lbs.
