As a Senior Merchant and right-hand to the Department Head, you’ll drive category strategy, influence national trends, and own full P&L responsibility. This is your seat at the table. With a wide lens on sourcing, pricing, margin, and merchandising, your decisions won’t just move product—they’ll move the business. Your Day Consists Of Leading the category strategy, from product planning and pricing to margin performance Sourcing globally and building best-in-class assortments across good, better, best tiers Negotiating with vendors to secure pricing, improve terms, and foster long-term partnerships Partnering with cross-functional teams to guide promotional strategy, store execution, and training Analyzing sales trends, market shifts, and inventory data to inform daily and long-term decisions Mentoring a team of merchants and driving accountability, development, and category excellence You’ll Be Supported With Bonus & career advancement opportunities at every level Programs like 401K with discretionary company match, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, and Referral Bonus Program Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and other Insurance Plans (subject to eligibility criteria) Work-life balance: A personal holiday Volunteer Time Off program that starts on day one You’ll Be Successful With 5+ years (minimum) in merchandising, with category ownership and P&L accountability A proven track record of owning categories and making data-driven decisions A strategic mindset, with the ability to translate data and trends into business wins Proven negotiation skills and experience managing complex vendor relationships A sharp understanding of the retail landscape—especially in product performance, pricing, and promotion Leadership experience, with a strong focus on team development and operational excellence, as you’ll be overseeing and mentoring others A fast, flexible, and analytical approach—able to make big calls with clarity and confidence W orking Conditions (travel, hours, environment) Frequent international and domestic travel required including air and car travel While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse & factory environments environments and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate Physical/Sensory Requirements This position is classified as Sedentary to Light Work , but may require exerting 50 to 80 pounds of force occasionally and 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects. While the role may involve desk-based tasks, extended periods of standing and walking (5-8 hours) are often necessary during travel and factory visits.
