Position Summary Responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities of a selling organization culture with a consumer-centric focus through Marketing, Category, Merchandising, and Pricing responsibilities. Lead the development of the center store commercial plan and weekly ad flyer. Serve as the single point of contact between marketing and center store category teams. Principle Duties and Responsibilities Support the commercial planning and ad development within Marketing, Category, Merchandising, and Pricing as it relates to the strategies and initiatives. Execute the population and changes associated with the commercial plan and Ad development. Serve as the single point of contact between Marketing and center store category teams. Support execution of planned and incremental shopper marketing opportunities that cross multiple category desks. Review multiple ad drafts to ensure comprehensive ad development and verification of co-marketing support/commitments. Ensure ad reflects overarching banner strategies. Develop analytical reports that measure weekly ad performance to help drive sales and define future ad strategies Understand competitive ad strategy and tactics and influence change where appropriate to improve our weekly ad effectiveness. Build effective communication to center store category teams of commercial plan and weekly ads Influence and support the creation of programs and initiatives that deliver on our strategy and drive sales and market share. Collaborate with Merchandising, Category, Marketing, Retail Services, Retail Operations, and other areas of the organization as needed for the development, implementation, and ongoing support for all products and programs. Responsible for the development and execution of new store grand opening ads as well as other localized ads Collaborate with e-commerce team on the execution of the omni-channel commercial plan Collaborate with thematic team to incorporate thematic plans into the omni-channel commercial plan Communicate the commercial plan as well as changes to weekly ads during the proofing process to the merchandise planning team Lead weekly ad review meetings to make sure the ad has accurate item information and marketing elements that align with the omni-channel commercial plan Influence ad change through competitive ad strategies and tactics Serve as a member of key teams and committees as needed Develop and lead effective training and continued education for the ad flyer process with CMP Skills and Abilities Ability to provide direct, effective, and professional feedback to those not within a direct reporting structure, and across multiple levels of the organization. Basic Qualifications 5-8 years combined experience in retail, merchandising, category, pricing, logistics, supply chain, procurement, and distribution. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience. Retail Operations experience Merchandising experience Category experience Knowledge of Center Store categories. Experience in leading projects and influencing consensus.
