At Shoe Carnival, we’re looking for a creative and technically skilled eCommerce On-Site Merchandiser to help shape how our customers discover, explore, and engage with our products online. If you bring 3+ years of experience in on-site merchandising, a passion for optimizing product visibility strategies, and a strong technical aptitude, we invite you to join our collaborative team at our Fort Mill, SC corporate office. Your insight and innovation will directly impact the digital shopping journey across both shoecarnival.com and shoestation.com. Enjoy working at our South Corporate office located at 1800 Innovation Point, 5th Floor, Fort Mill, SC. Primary office hours are 8:00am-5:00pm with the option to work offsite on Friday. Starting salary $65,000. Commensurate with experience.
Summary:
The eCommerce On-Site Merchandiser executes key aspects of site merchandising to create compelling online shopping experiences across shoecarnival.com and shoestation.com. The On-Site Merchandiser stays up to date with online shopping trends and industry best practice to ensure a competitive digital experience across both websites. The On-Site Merchandiser utilizes analytics to drive merchandising tactics that encourage increased basket size, conversion rate, and other KPI’s. Creates and publishes landing pages to include sales/coupon experiences, product trend/brand stories, URL link functionality, etc.
Plans, tests, and refines product groupings to facilitate efficient search (through taxonomy, site search filtering, and categorization tactics.)
Prioritizes key concepts and reinforces a positive brand experience.
Analyzes and reacts to product trends using search and sales data.
Drives strategies using data analysis and KPIs.
Uses online merchandising tools and reports to drive cross-sell and up-sell strategies.
Moderates user-generated content (reviews and social media) to drive on-site merchandising opportunities.
Creates online product features and specifications (fit guides, technical specs, etc.) as needed.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to create landing pages for specific advertisements.
Leads or facilitates meetings with vendor contacts as needed.
Presents takeaways and results for products/experience performance to Buying team.
Maintains product knowledge of current and future merchandise assortments.
Leads product attribution strategy, determining where products should be categorized.
Collaborates with the eCommerce Merchandising Manager and the Buying team to plan featured brand/product/category stories for micro-site experiences.
Updates and maintains all landing page experiences on the site ensuring appropriate seasonal timing, product offerings, promotions, etc
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
1-2+ years in eCommerce or Merchandising preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, required.
Salesforce Commerce Cloud experience preferred.
Knowledge of business reporting and Google Analytics preferred.
Knowledge of/aptitude for HTML preferred.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an aptitude for numbers.
Strong ability to work independently while supporting team as needed.
Ability to work under tight deadlines with frequently changing priorities.
Comfortable when presenting information to stakeholders as needed.
Interest and knowledge of market and fashion trends.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Self-starter with a willingness to learn.
