Job Description
The Opportunity Reporting to the QxH (QVC and HSN) Director Merchandise Planning, the Manager, QxH Merchandise Planning is responsible for influencing and execution of business strategies for your QVC and HSN jewelry and supplements businesses to achieve the category and company financial metrics across sales platforms. Ensure the cohesive daily management, development, and leadership of the Merchandise Planning team under your direction. Act with urgency; guide and maximize sales and productivity, while managing inventory levels. Responsible for training of Planning team members through feedback on the allocation of items to airtime and maximizing sales with available assets. Review scripting and pricing decisions and ensure use of promotional tools. Champion relationships; Communicate within the extended Merchandise Planning, Pricing, Buying, Programming, Broadcasting and Digital teams. Partner with Talent acquisition to attract talent to build an organization. Summarize complex trends and information and understand impacts on the business. Your Impact Oversee the execution of Pricing, Scripting, Inventory Management and Promotional activity for their assigned categories of business across platforms Ensure the cohesive daily management and execution of Shows, TS Assessments, Pricing forms, Event Plans, RTV and Reorder approvals Improve and maximize sales and productivity while achieving margin rate and inventory levels for their business Lead placement of product on-air and off-air, including training of team through feedback on scripting shows and executing on-line features Responsible for internal and external communication and teamwork within the department and between Planning, Buying, Programming, TV Production and Ecommerce What You Bring You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience Minimum 5 years’ business experience in retail Planning You have mentorship or management experience You understand and apply succession planning#LI-KC1 #hybrid If you enjoy being a part of a team, creating experiences and delighting customers, you’ll love it here.
