Merchandise Manager The Morehead City Marlins (mhcmarlins.com) are one of the most successful teams in the Coastal Plain League which provides collegiate players the opportunity to play competitively in a wood-bat league during the summer months in front of professional scouts, while also providing the local community with an affordable summer entertainment destination everyone can enjoy. The Marlins play at Big Rock Stadium which is undergoing renovations. The Marlins organization has developed a program that prepares its staff for a career in sports. We help our staff succeed in their career objectives by preparing for and learning from actual situations our staff encounters at the ballpark which are discussed and experienced daily. The Merchandise Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the team’s merchandise operations, both in-person and online. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the brand’s visibility, driving revenue, and ensuring a smooth, efficient experience for fans and customers. This is a hands-on position that combines retail management, inventory control, product fulfillment, and creative production. Here is what we are looking for: Start date as soon as possible Ability to work approximately 40 hours per week. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Print and prepare custom merchandise orders. Manage and fulfill all online orders in a timely and accurate manner.
Package and ship merchandise with attention to detail and customer satisfaction. Monitor, track, and manage inventory levels across all platforms. Ensure accurate cash handling and POS system operation.
Maintain a clean and welcoming environment for fans during all events.
Collaborate with Director of Marketing and Promotions to develop and promote new merchandise designs
Track and report on merchandise sales, best-sellers, and customer insights
Help plan and execute merchandise strategy for theme nights and special events
Other duties as assigned.
