Overall Responsibilities
This position is responsible for hiring, training, leading and managing the assigned team of merchandisers to maintain presentation standards for all Dietz & Watson products in accordance with mutually agreed upon customer standards. In addition, this position is responsible for coordinating, scheduling and communicating support activities for the merchandising team to achieve budgeted sales and profit objectives including store sets, demo/sampling activities, deli associate training and merchandising tasks to help customer goals and objectives. This position is also responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with retailer’s key deli contacts at the multi-unit level. This position will mentor sales merchandisers to help them promote Dietz & Watson and develop deli associates that become Dietz & Watson advocates for promoting our products with the consumer. The Merchandiser Manager will work with Human Resources and Sales Management to interview and hire candidates to maintain fully staffed teams in accordance with approved organizational charts including resume reviews and selection, initial phone screenings and in person interviews. The Merchandiser Manager will be responsible for coordinating all on boarding procedures with Human Resources and appointed company representatives to insure that the employee receives the necessary training and equipment to perform assigned tasks including but not limited to product knowledge, company procedures and standards.
Management
This position is an integral part of the sales management team responsible for supporting achievement of company sales and profit objectives. The Merchandiser Manger will schedule assigned Merchandisers to accomplish account objectives in support of merchandising and presentation standards. The Manager will be required to both train, evaluate and mentor employees for positive and sustainable performance in accordance with the highest of both industry and Dietz & Watson standards providing consistent feedback to both assigned sales merchandisers and sales management. This position will communicate opportunities and successes observed in the field with recommendations for ongoing improvement in all facets and activities in support of sales and profit objectives.
Leadership
The Merchandiser Manager will lead by example reflecting Dietz & Watson’s uncompromising commitment to excellence in all endeavors while maintaining the highest degree of ethical and moral standards. This position will also help identify and foster appropriate growth for all employees to support the company’s goal for long term sustainability. This position will continue to support all duties and assigned activities to the betterment of the organization.

Job Requirements
Must be able to travel
Must have valid REAL ID or Passport for travel

Must have computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Must be able to work weekends as necessary
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Marketing, Business Administration, Marketing or related field required
Serv-Safe certification preferred
Clear driving history for min of 2 years
2-5 years of customer service/sales experience required with prior experience in food/beverage industry merchandising preferred
