Job Summary:
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the parts room and CMMS system. Position Task Allocation % (approximate) : Parts Ordering/Research/Computer Work “” 50% Inventory/Cycle Counts “” 15% Waste Water Operations “” 20% Boxing up/Putting away parts “” 10% Misc Duties”” 5%
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work safely and consistently following all company policies Perform all purchasing tasks for maintenance dept Establish and organize methods of storing parts and materials in the bins or designated areas. Operate company truck and lift trucks. Responsible for issuing and stocking parts, materials, supplies, and maintenance tools. Responsible for daily spot inventory checks and notifying the supervisor of any part, critical spare, or materials that have reached the minimum on hand levels as designated and recording them on the appropriate documentation. Responsible for receiving all maintenance MRO shipments. Responsible for data entry of received materials into the CMMS and stocking in the appropriate location within the parts and material bins or designated area. Maintains assigned area (parts, material bins and storage rooms) in a clean orderly condition (5S). Responsible for completing cycle counts to ensure our inventory is being tracked correctly. Responsible for providing data & reports as needed for KPI Reporting. Must fill in for absences on Waste Water processes. Performs minor maintenance tasks / functions as needed. Train new, existing and transferring associates in all aspects of role (Safety, Quality, SOP “™s). Develop methods to improve productivity in this area. Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision Work as a team player and work independently per business needs. Be willing to work overtime when needed or change shifts All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 1 year working experience in related position preferred Skilled in the use of Microsoft Windows programs including all Microsoft Office programs. Must have a clean 3-year driving record. Must be able and willing to safely work with chemicals Must be pallet jack & forklift qualified Must be able to read and understand all manuals on machinery a Must be able to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to or learn to drive a forklift and certify with FITCO. Knowledge of shop electrical test equipment; i.e.
VOM, AMPROBE
etc. Must be able to work effectively in both hot and cold environments. Must be able to cross-train in other maintenance areas to better be able to support plant needs (ie Waste Water, Firewatch, Confined Space Watch, helping mechanics rebuild equipment as necessary, etc.) Must possess proficient math skills. Must be able to use a scale and measuring devices and make adjustments as necessary. Must be able and willing to constantly sit, stand and /or walk Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, climb stairs, able to work from ladders, raised platforms and reach both to ground level and overhead and maintain hold and grip on objects.
