Full Job Description Position Overview:
As a Purchase Assistant , you’ll be an important part of the procurement team, helping ensure that the parts and materials we need for our operations are sourced on time and at the best possible prices. You’ll be working closely with suppliers, other teams within the company, and the purchasing department to support the ordering and delivery of necessary parts.
Key Responsibilities:
Support in sourcing parts : Assist in reaching out to suppliers to get pricing and availability for parts. Order creation : Help create and send internal orders and other required documents for parts and materials. Monitor part deliveries : Keep track of when parts are scheduled to arrive and follow up with suppliers if needed.
Receiving parts:
Help receive and check parts once they arrive to ensure they match what was ordered and are in good condition. Maintain parts organization : Assist in organizing received parts and making sure they are correctly stored and accessible when needed. Return incorrect parts : If parts are wrong or damaged, help coordinate the return process. Support with documentation : Assist with updating records and paperwork for deliveries, orders, and inventory tracking. Assist other departments : Work with other teams to ensure that parts are delivered on time to meet their needs.
Required Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the United States Fluent in English (Required) and Portuguese (Required) High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent Comfortable with basic computer tasks Able to lift and move items up to 75 pounds Good communication skills and the ability to work with different teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills to keep track of multiple tasks at once Some experience (0-3 years) in a related field, like inventory or procurement, is a plus Basic understanding of inventory management or procurement is helpful Previous experience working in aviation or a parts-related environment is a bonus
