Position Overview:

As an Outside Semi-Trailer Parts Salesperson, you will be responsible for generating new business and maintaining existing customer relationships within a defined territory. Your primary focus will be selling semi-trailer parts and related products to customers such as trucking companies, repair shops, and fleet operators. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales and Business Development:
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities by prospecting and building relationships with potential customers. Develop strategies to grow the customer base within the assigned territory.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business. Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Product Knowledge:
  • Stay up-to-date on semi-trailer parts, including features, benefits, and applications. Advise customers on product choices, availability, and pricing.
  • Order Management:
  • Assist customers in placing orders and ensure timely delivery. Coordinate with internal teams to manage inventory levels and fulfill orders efficiently.
  • Territory Management:
  • Organize and manage your territory by planning daily travel routes, scheduling appointments, and prioritizing leads.
  • Market Research:
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences. Provide feedback to management on market conditions and product demand.
  • Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and forecasts.

Report regularly to management on progress and performance.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in the semi-trailer parts or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of semi-trailer parts and the ability to quickly learn new products.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
