Job Description
Experienced Parts Counter Person Confidential Palm Harbor, FL 34684 Domestic dealer seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Counter Person to join our team. In this crucial role, you will provide exceptional customer service, manage parts orders, and ensure efficient operations at our service counter. If you have strong organizational and communication skills, along with a background in automotive service or repair, this is the opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish. Communicate professionally with staff and customers to provide clear and helpful information. Efficiently address customer inquiries regarding parts status. Use the parts catalog to accurately locate and discuss specific parts with customers. Answer phone calls, provide price quotes, and offer additional product information. Review body shop estimates to ensure parts orders are accurate and align with the provided estimates. Deliver excellent service to both internal and external customers. Pull and fill orders from stock while maintaining weekly bin checks to ensure stock accuracy. Alert the parts manager about any out-of-stock parts or shop materials that require urgent attention. Source out-of-stock parts from external suppliers and place emergency orders as needed. Ensure that all internal parts requests are billed appropriately on service repair orders. Receive payments from retail customers or secure credit authorizations.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (required); prior auto parts sales experience (preferred). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong interpersonal and time management skills. Strong mathematical skills for handling invoices, quotes, and payment processing. Ability to lift and move heavy automotive parts.
