Parts Counter Representative – Non Exempt 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars 2455 South Orange Blossom Trail, Apopka, FL 32703 Monday-Friday Business Hours 7:00 am- 6:00 pm with a Saturday Rotation schedule 8:00 am- 2:00 pm Provide customer service to customers seeking to purchase heavy duty truck parts by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assists walk-in and telephone customers with truck and equipment part needs while providing excellent customer service. Maintains inventory correct, orders and stock parts. Pulls parts from shelves to fill orders. Maintains a safe, uncluttered, and clean work environment. Answers telephones, cashiers, and assists sales department as needed. Using the computer systems, research pricing and availability of parts. Makes information known to customers and enhances purchase opportunity by cross selling and positive customer relations. Provides price quotes in a timely fashion and runs invoices. Locates non-stock parts and collects deposit on all “special” or “emergency” orders. Charges out and tags all returned cores; processes returns of unused or incorrectly ordered/received parts to outside vendors. Obtains warranty information from customer on parts failure. Education and or Experience & Training High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer literacy necessary. Minimum of one (1) year of automotive parts sales experience. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, policies, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English. Ability to speak in English effectively before individuals, groups of customers, or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Must have Florida Driver’s License. Must maintain insurability for business purpose vehicle operations.
