Job Description
Parts Specialist 4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars Commerce, GA The Vehicle Processing Centers (VPC) operate in a manufacturing setting and are responsible for processing new Toyota/Lexus vehicles and preparing them for delivery to dealerships located in the Southeast. The Parts Specialist will be responsible to move material within a warehouse or storage facility to and from the loading platform.
Responsibilities:
Assisting in parts build-up. Picking parts according to vehicle requirements. Material handling for shipping and receiving. Accurately delivering parts to all accessory shops. Accurately stocking & restocking parts within the parts racks. Dumping wheel hoppers into recycling bins. Learning inventory processes and all tasks associated with parts/inventory control. Conveying parts via forklift or material handling equipment in a timely manner. Handling other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license required with a clean motor vehicle record; candidate must be safety minded. – Proven computer skills required to check locations, scan parts, update quantities and more, in Vehicle Processing Centers (VPC) computer systems. Previous VPC systems experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to handle physical requirements of the position including bending, twisting, lifting 50 – 75 pounds repeatedly and pushing/pulling. Able to walk & stand for extended periods of time. Demonstrate safe operation of baler, including emptying the baler. Southeast Toyota (SET) Certification required for forklift, stock chaser, pallet jack and tugger. If not already SET certified, must be SET certified within first 90 days. Solid communication skills (verbal and written) required. Must be able to write legibly, read and differentiate number series effectively. Demonstrated organizational skills required. Capable of working independently with minimal supervision while performing effectively in a team-oriented environment. Excellent work and attendance record required. Must be dependable and report to work on time, with the ability to work overtime when needed.
