Parts Counter Associate 2.6 2.6 out of 5 stars 1500 Hwy 124, Auburn, GA 30011 Parts Counter Associate G.P.’s Enterprises, Inc. is a heavy civil road construction company that recently celebrated its 40th anniversary. G.P.’s is looking for a self-motivated parts counter associate for our shop who possesses general parts knowledge for both diesel and gasoline engines. Primary duties of this position include but are not limited to assisting all field and shop mechanics in locating and ordering parts, distributing parts as they arrive to the shop as needed, and assigning purchase orders and reviewing purchase orders to reflect accuracy for payment processing. Responsibilities Accurately and efficiently manage inventory of parts and equipment to service our fleet utilizing effective management practices. Create and submit purchase orders for bill and inventory. Deliver and for shop stock and custom order items for technicians Receive items from vendors then get them to the correct technician. Perform periodic inventory cycle counts of stocked items. Work effectively as a member of a team and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with employees, suppliers, customers. Assist in general housekeeping of shop and parts area. Safely operate lift gates and material handling equipment (forklift) to load, unload, or put away equipment. Always maintain a clean work area. Complete all tasks in a safe manner. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent
• 1 to 2 years of work-related experience in parts, field service, or shop repair (preferred but not required)
• Excellent communication skills, including listening, strong verbal communication, and written communication.

• An ideal candidate must possess strong problem solving skills
