Summary The Parts Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the parts department, ensuring efficient procurement, inventory management, and distribution of HVAC parts and supplies. The role involves managing relationships with suppliers, coordinating with service technicians, scheduling parts calls with customers for delivery and supervising parts department staff to ensure accurate inventory levels and timely fulfillment of parts requests. This position plays a critical role in supporting field operations and ensuring smooth workflow in HVAC service and installation projects.

Essential Functions Inventory Management:

Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels for HVAC parts and supplies. Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and address discrepancies. Oversee stock rotation to prevent part obsolescence. Receiving replenishment inventory for service techs.

Procurement:

Source HVAC parts and materials from suppliers, negotiating pricing and contracts as necessary. Place orders and ensure timely deliveries to avoid delays in service or installation. Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and manufacturers.

Team Supervision:

Hire, supervise, train, and support parts department staff, ensuring high levels of productivity and efficiency. Assign tasks and provide guidance to ensure timely parts fulfillment for technicians and projects. Assist in performance evaluations and handle employee scheduling. Coordination with

Service Teams:

Collaborate with HVAC service technicians to ensure they have the necessary parts for repairs and installations. Respond promptly to urgent parts requests to minimize technician downtime.

Data and Reporting:
