Starting at the basics of parts ordering you will learn how to identify and locate parts. You will learn how to determine what is economically viable to repair. You will be responsible for accurately maintaining and organizing the parts inventory for the department. As experience and knowledge is gained, we will dive into creating purchase orders for parts from both OEMs and independent sellers. You will learn how to evaluate the quality of parts received. This is an introductory position to begin your lifelong career in photography equipment repair with KEH!
What You Will Do :
Receive and verify incoming parts against purchase orders Organize, label, and distribute parts to technicians Maintain and track inventory of repair parts Create internal part numbers and apply appropriate labels Read exploded diagrams to identify and locate components Research and source parts to support ongoing repairs Help with administrative tasks such as data entry and order processing Assist in the repair and application of foam components in camera bodies and accessories Disassemble cameras to support parts harvesting and repair prep Skills and Experience Needed to be

Ability to self-manage and direct between functions An amazing can-do attitude Ability to work in a team focused environment Responds well to instructions, both verbally and written Willingness to learn Attention to detail is a must Ability to accept challenges and thrive Must exhibit politeness, confidence, tact, patience and diplomacy while dealing with complex issues Photographic/product knowledge experience is a plus Experience with Excel; comfort with formulas is a plus Ability to read technical diagrams (prior experience with exploded views is a big plus)
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills :
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic math. Basic knowledge of applied statistics, core machine learning algorithms and basic AI principles.
