Parts Room Clerk Shift:

2nd (3:00PM)

Tasks:

Provides assistance to mechanics and electricians in requesting and/ or returning parts for needed repairs. Enter all transactions into the CMMS for assigned shifts. (i.e. issue, return transaction) Perform research for requested items that are not currently stocked. Contacts vendors for needed parts. Process items in need of repair to appropriate vendors for repair and/ or exchange. Receive purchase orders in CMMS and store parts properly in assigned bin locations. Become familiar with plant equipment and associated parts. Perform assigned weekly bin cycle counts. Perform housekeeping duties. Provide backup to other stockroom clerks. Lifting up to 50 lbs. is required. Other stockroom duties as assigned. Requirements (minimum requirements in order to be considered for the job) Prior work experience in food manufacturing. Understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Must be willing to lift up to 50 lbs. High school diploma, college a plus. Minimum 3 years of related experience in an industrial facility. Experience and working knowledge of inventory control. Strong interpersonal skill and customer service skills. Familiar with the use of computers (i.e. keyboard, mouse, Windows, etc.) and willing to learn new programs. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends. Knowledge and willingness to follow policies and procedures.
