YOUR PURPOSE
As a key member of our Fleet Services team, you’ll work under the guidance of a parts specialist II and the Parts Supervisor. The team member will receive on the job training as he/she gains kledge of inventory management, parts procedures, business practices, and expectations.
Work is performed under the supervision of the Parts Supervisor.
Essential Tasks
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Issue parts and supplies to technicians and maintain proper records.
Provide technical information assistance to the fleet technicians.
Reviews orders forpleteness, accuracy, andpliance with current policies and procedures.
Obtains appropriate parts and/or supplies in a timely manner.
Responsible for charging issued parts to appropriate work orders and processing invoices for payment.
Responds to questions and requests for information on automotive parts ordering procedures.
Sorts and files automotive parts receipts and miscellaneous forms.
Participates in the end of year inventory.
Assists with procurement card management.
Cleans the storeroom, stocks shelves, and maintains store room to ensure a safe and orderly work area.
Answers iing phone calls.
Receives and stocks parts.
Assist in ensuring that proper and adequate parts inventory is available.
Receives and logs iing fleet service parts invoices and order data for processing.
Orders parts that are not in stock from contracted vendors.
Operate city vehicle when needed.
Ensure all workplies with OSHA and City Safety Standards and Policies.
Qualifications

REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
On the job training of approximately three (3) to six (6) six months. Formal education that includes basic arithmetic and/or business math. Experience and understanding in the operation of an automotive, truck, or industrial parts facility.
Valid Driver’s License.
