Job Description

Volt is immediately hiring for a Quality Specialist in Chalfont, PA working with

Hours:

Monday – Friday 7a – 3:30p As the Quality Specialist you will inspect new parts used in AGV (automated guided vehicle) assembly. These are both mechanical parts and electrical parts (such as wire harnesses) and address product quality issues as they arise and proactively work with the quality manager, engineering team, and suppliers to solve the issue and address the systemic root cause. Perform and manage incoming and in-process inspections of electromechanical parts and Non-Conformance handling process, including analyzing trends from the Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) Monitor product quality and analyze data to determine areas that need improvement and then work with Department Managers and Suppliers to implement improvements. Conduct inspections on incoming material to assure conformance to drawings. Conduct Quality orientation to new hires in assembly and warehouse. Develop understanding of ISO9001 and provide coaching to assembly and warehouse teams. Address quality issues with Suppliers in collaboration with Purchasing Determine root causes of quality issues and develop effective corrective and preventive actions. Participate and drive Relentless Continuous Improvement (RCI) initiatives, specifically for the operations site assigned to her/him. Ensure all gages and test equipment are calibrated according to schedule and personnel are using only valid calibrated equipment. Follow Safety, Health, Environment, and Hazardous Waste Rules and Responsibilities. Perform other duties as assigned. This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

2+ years in quality inspection leadership/supervisory or trainer experience

Preferred Education:

Technical School Certification or associate’s degree in science or two years of industry experience in electromechanical inspections.

knowledge Ability to understand and interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic engineering drawings. Read and interpret engineering drawings Inspection of electromechanical parts. Strong mechanical aptitude. Strong computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, Outlook Experience in a manufacturing environment with automation experience preferred Problem-solving at the root cause level; A3 Problem solving method experience a plus. Implementing process improvements, with thorough follow-up to ensure sustainability Risk assessment and mitigation experience

Salary:

$30.00 – 33.00 / hour •Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate’s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
