Job Description
Parts Counter Person B&B FORD, Inc. Barnwell, SC 29812 Parts Advisor Assisting technicians and customers with part quotes and prices as well as availability. Using the Electronic Parts Catalog, OEC or any other tools to provide the most reliable parts pricing and availability. Assisting the parts manager in inventory purchasing, retail inventory management, as well as stock ordering of parts. Completion of the scheduled electronic part orders with the proper timing to efficiently get vehicles completed and back on the road. Monitoring parts invoices and special orders to keep customers informed on parts status. Being sure to collect payments before parts are special ordered Contacting customers when parts arrive when vehicles are not present and scheduling appointments for repairs to be completed. Providing the customers with time slots to provide a smooth and efficient special order process. Communicating with parts and service management on shortages of components, tools, and shop supplies to keep the shop running smoothly and efficiently. Working with parts management on displays and over the counter sale promotions to keep dealership in accordance with FMC policy Assisting parts management in shipping/receiving stock,and emergency orders, core returns, and part check-ins. Completing all required training for certification and maintaining certification. Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role as a Parts Advisor or related position
- Proficient in data entry and working with computer systems
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory control practices
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HVAC or automotive repair is a plus
- Understanding of supply chain management principles is beneficial This position requires a dedicated individual who can effectively communicate with customers, technicians, and other team members.
